Tree climbing is no longer just for kids—it's now a popular recreational activity that people of all ages and skill levels enjoy. Join Trees Columbus for a recreational tree climb in a tall and impressive Laurel oak tree in the median of Broadway in Uptown Columbus. Equipped with safety gear like harnesses and helmets, climbers eagerly make their way up into the canopy of leaves. Recreational tree climbing not only challenges the body but it allows us to reconnect with the amazing beauty and tranquility found in the embrace of a magnificent tree.

Arbor Day 2024

The Arbor Day 2023 celebration and tree plantings were held at Lakebottom Park, and over 300 seedlings were distributed.
Arbor Day is a national holiday for planting trees and educating the public on tree preservation.
Thank you to our donors who provided funding for the tree planting- the Azalea Garden Club, Caroline Castle in memory of Tiny, and the Baker Family in memory of Dr. Champ Baker, Jr. And of course a huge thanks to our volunteers extraordinaire the Muscogee Roller Girls!
